- Now you have to select the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) option.

- Then you have to set up the subnet mask. Generally, for the home network, the subnet mask is always the 255.255.255.0.
- Now you have to set the default gateway. The default gateway refers to your router’s IP adresss. For example, 10.1.2.1.
- Then from the “Use the following DNS server addresses set Preferred DNS server” section, you have to enter your router’s IP address. You can also use DNS server. However, this option is only recommended when you want to reach to a specific server.
- In the end, click on the ok button and close all the menus and you are all done.
